AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company Acquires C&B Piping
Water and WastewaterAMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company has acquired C&B Piping, Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of ductile iron and steel piping systems headquartered in Leeds, Alabama. C&B, with locations in Gilbert, Arizona, and Amherst, Virginia, specializes in pipe fabrication, linings and coatings of ductile iron and steel products.

C&B will continue to be a top provider of products and services in the water and wastewater treatment plant market.”
C&B will operate as an independent subsidiary of AMERICAN under the continued leadership of C&B President Stephen Gables. C&B, formerly a family-owned business, was founded in 1986. The company now employs approximately 215 people across its three facilities.

Founded in 1905 in Birmingham, Alabama, AMERICAN is a manufacturer of fire hydrants, valves, ductile iron pipe and spiral-welded steel pipe for the waterworks industry and high-frequency-welded steel pipe for the energy and carbon capture industries. AMERICAN’s diversified product line also includes fire pumps, structural casing and piling, castings for large machinery, and specialty rubber products.
