Dearborn, McCall & Newton Receive 2025 MSS Scholarships

Congratulations to Luke Dearborn, Mackenzie McCall and Calissa Newton, who each received a $2,000 scholarship through the Manufacturers Standardization Society’s (MSS) McClinton/Hannafin Scholarship Fund in 2025.

Luke is the son of Nicole and Matt Dearborn, ADIP/ASWP Sales, and a rising junior studying civil engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Mackenzie is the daughter of Jermesha and Lindsey McCall, DIP Quality Assurance, and a rising sophomore studying mechanical engineering at the University of Alabama. Calissa is the daughter of Korene and Jason Newton, Waterous Company. She will be a freshman at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the fall and plans to study biomedical engineering.

The MSS McClinton/Hannafin Scholarship Program was established in 2011 and provides annual cash awards of $2,000 to dedicated engineering and material science or metallurgy students interested in the valve and fittings industry. The children of AMERICAN and Waterous employees have received scholarships 18 times since the fund was established.

MSS is a nonprofit technical association for the development and improvement of codes and standards for the valves and fittings industry. AMERICAN is a member company.
