Kothari Named Chair of AWWA’s Manufacturers and Associates Council

Congratulations to ADIP/ASWP Northeast Regional Sales Manager Anooj Kothari on his appointment as Chair of the American Water Works Association’s Manufacturers and Associates Council (MAC). Kothari’s three-year term began June 12. He has served on MAC for six years, including the last three years as Vice Chair. As MAC Chair, Kothari will also join AWWA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

“It’s an honor to serve as MAC Chair,” Kothari said. “The work we are doing ensures people and communities continue to receive quality and reliable water services.”

MAC represents all service providers, which includes manufacturers, distributors, contractors and consulting engineers, providing policy input to the organization on behalf of its constituents. MAC is one of six councils within AWWA. Previous AMERICAN employees who have served on MAC include ADIP/ASWP Regional Sales Manager Jeff Blakely, ADIP/ASWP Territory Manager Matt Rosenwald, AMERICAN Flow Control Vice President of Sales David Angell, ADIP/ASWP Vice President of Sales Christopher Jarrett and Senior Vice President of Sales John Hagelskamp.

Kothari received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin system. The Manitowoc, Wisconsin, native began his career at AMERICAN as a sales engineer covering New York and New England. Kothari moved to the Central Business Development office in 2021, was named Regional Sales Manager – Northeast Business Development in 2023 and selected Regional Sales Manager – Northeast Account Management in March 2025. He is also an active member of AWWA’s Illinois Section. Kothari completed his designated Design-Build professional certification from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) earlier this year.
