More than 50,000 votes were cast during Manufacture Alabama’s 2026 Manufacturing Madness contest for the “Coolest Thing Made in Alabama.” AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe made it to the Final 4 in the competition. An awards ceremony was held April 7, 2026, and Alabama Secretary of Commerce Ellen McNair presented awards to all four finalists – AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe, Honda Motor Company, Austal USA and Blue Origin. Honda’s Racing Odyssey was named this year’s winner. Thank you to all who voted and helped showcase why AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe is so cool.
