On May 8, Specification Rubber celebrated the opening of its new 120,000 square-foot warehouse that will house finished goods inventory, raw materials and administrative operations. The new facility sits on more than 16 acres in Pelham and is located less than half a mile from Spec Rubber’s manufacturing headquarters in Alabaster. It is the largest expansion in Spec Rubber’s 58-year history.

AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company partnered with Keep Birmingham Beautiful (KBB) on a Citywide Cleanup Day on April 24, 2026. About 80 volunteers planted trees and flowers, worked in community gardens and cleaned up the neighborhoods surrounding the company’s facility. Other companies sponsored similar activities across the city of Birmingham.
