Allred Receives 2026 MSS Scholarship

Ayden Allred is a recipient of a $2,000 scholarship from the Manufacturers Standardization Society’s. McClinton/Hannafin Scholarship Fund in 2026. He will attend the University of Alabama and study mechanical engineering

Congratulations to Ayden Allred on receiving a $2,000 scholarship through the Manufacturers Standardization Society’s (MSS) McClinton/Hannafin Scholarship Fund in 2026.

Ayden is the son of Kevin and Holly Allred, AFC Sales. He recently graduated from Thompson High School and will attend the University of Alabama in the fall and study mechanical engineering. Ayden is also an Eagle Scout and was a member of the Air Force JROTC.

The MSS McClinton/Hannafin Scholarship Program was established in 2011 and provides annual cash awards of $2,000 to dedicated engineering and material science or metallurgy students interested in the valve and fittings industry. The children of AMERICAN and Waterous employees have received scholarships 19 times since the fund was established.

MSS is a nonprofit technical association for the development and improvement of codes and standards for the valves and fittings industry. AMERICAN is a member company.
