Congratulations to ADIP/ASWP Northeast Regional Sales Manager Anooj Kothari on his appointment as Chair of the American Water Works Association’s Manufacturers and Associates Council (MAC). He has served on MAC for six years, including the last three years as Vice Chair. As MAC Chair, Kothari will also join AWWA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

J.  Michael O’Brien, president and CEO of AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company, was inducted into the state of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame on February 22, 2025. Throughout his career, O’Brien has worked to enhance engineering education and the industry.

Massmann received the 2024 Benjamin G. Mason Award from the Minnesota Section of the American Water Works Association for demonstrating exemplary service to the drinking water community and to Minnesota AWWA’s mission and goals.

Specification Rubber Products in Alabaster, Alabama, was named the Small Alabama Manufacturer of the Year by the Business Council of Alabama (BCA) and the Alabama Technology Network (ATN) in early October.

Maury D. Gaston, retired Marketing Services manager for AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe/AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe, was one of six honorees named Distinguished Auburn Engineer by Auburn University’s Alumni Engineering Council on September 13.

ACIPCO was named Manufacturer of the Year by the Birmingham Business Journal at its inaugural Manufacturing Awards on Thursday, August 15. The company competed with manufacturers from across the state for awards.

Kyle G. Couture was named Marketing Services Manager for AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe (ADIP)/AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe (ASWP) effective June 1, 2024.
