On May 8, Specification Rubber celebrated the opening of its new 120,000 square-foot warehouse that will house finished goods inventory, raw materials and administrative operations. The new facility sits on more than 16 acres in Pelham and is located less than half a mile from Spec Rubber’s manufacturing headquarters in Alabaster. It is the largest expansion in Spec Rubber’s 58-year history.

AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe in Columbia, South Carolina, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 44,000-square-foot manual blasting and coating facility. The custom-designed and engineered operation center will improve efficiency and productivity.

What began as a lofty idea will soon become a reality as a new regional water authority is established in Northwest Missouri. The Great Northwest Wholesale Water Commission will supply water to more than 11,000 people in rural areas of Cameron and Maysville, Missouri, with the capability to expand to other communities in the future.
