Based on profitability, AMERICAN pays bonuses up to four times a year. Employees have the option to defer part or all of their bonuses into their AMERICAN 401(k) retirement plan.
A diversified plan for investing money for retirement. The plan offers traditional, tax-deferred and after-tax Roth 401(k) options. AMERICAN matches 100% of the first 3% an employee contributes to their ACIPCO 401(k) plan account, and 50% of the next 4 to 6% contributed.
Employees may choose from two medical plans – a traditional group plan or an HSA-qualified plan. Both plans include flexible spending account (FSA) options and offer optional dental and supplemental vision plans. The HSA-qualified plan is a high-deductible medical plan with lower monthly premiums and higher annual deductibles. With this plan, non-Medicare-eligible employees may enroll in a Fidelity health savings account (HSA) and a limited-purpose FSA to cover out-of-pocket dental and vision expenses.
Depending on the medical plan they choose, employees may enroll in either a traditional FSA or a limited-purpose FSA. These tax-advantaged savings plans are used to pay for qualified medical, dental and vision expenses not covered by insurance. The plans also offer a dependent care FSA option, which can be used to pay for work-related dependent care expenses such as child day care, after-school care or adult day care.
AMERICAN’s award-winning wellness program supports healthy lifestyles with an on-site fitness center, a variety of classes and physical conditioning programs, screenings, personal health coaching, rewards for participation and more. Participants receive monetary incentives for reducing health risks and maintaining or improving their health status.
This program offers on-site opportunities, both in the classroom and online, for employees to learn about workplace safety, develop leadership skills, learn craft trades, and improve basic skills. Selected off-site training and professional development programs are included as well.
As part of Eagan College, the company offers tuition reimbursement up to $5,400 per calendar year for approved courses from an accredited college, university or technical college (dependent on satisfactory completion of course).
