4"-12" Series 3500 Resilient Wedge NRS Gate Valves With Mechanical Joint Ends

The AMERICAN Series 3500 Ductile Iron Resilient Wedge Gate Valve is rated for 350 psig. It has been designed for use in drinking water, sewage and fire protection systems, as well as other applications that might require higher pressures than those offered in the traditional 250 psig rated AMERICAN Series 2500 gate valve. The Series 3500 Resilient Wedge Gate Valve is available in configurations that are UL Listed and FM Approved at 350 psig. The valve uses the same parts as those used in the Series 2500 Resilient Wedge Gate Valve, so the specifier can feel confident in knowing the valve is the same dependable design the industry has come to know and trust.

The Series 3500 Ductile Iron Resilient Wedge Gate Valve has these standard features:

  • Fully complies with ANSI/AWWA C515 and is rated at 350 psig.

  • UL Listed and FM Approved at 350 psig, in applicable configurations

  • Certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372

  • Fusion-bonded epoxy coating complies with ANSI/AWWA C550

  • Smooth waterway design

  • 100% leak-tight closure

  • Triple O-ring Stem Seals

  • Thrust washers above and below thrust collar to provide for easier operation

NOTES

  1. 4" through 12" valves meet or exceed requirements of ANSI/AWWA C515.

  2. 4" through 12" valves have 350 psig AWWA rated working pressure.

  3. 4" through 12" valves have 350 psig UL and FM rated working pressure in applicable configurations.

  4. Certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372.

  5. Fusion-bonded epoxy coating meets or exceeds requirements of ASME/AWWA C550.

  6. Mechanical joint ends are in accordance with ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11.

  7. Bolt patterns of class 125 flanged ends are in accordance with ANSI/AWWA C110/A21.10 (ASME/ANSI B16.1, class 125).

  8. MAINTENANCE: Each valve should be operated through a full cycle and returned to its normal position. This should be done on a time schedule that is designed to prevent a buildup of tuberculation or other deposits that could render the valve inoperable or prevent a tight shutoff. It is recommended that this be done once a year.

  9. Open direction is specified by the customer.
