Richey Named Top 50 Over 50
Awards and Achievements, Community InvolvementAMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company President and CEO Van Richey was recently recognized by Positive Maturity as one of the greater Birmingham area’s top 50 individuals over the age of 50. Individuals were recognized for their success and/or achievements in business, and community and civic involvement. The list was published in the August issue of B-Metro magazine.
Among Richey’s numerous honors cited, he is a member of the Alabama Academy of Honors, which recognizes living Alabamians for their outstanding accomplishments and services. His civic involvement includes service on the President’s Cabinet at the University of Alabama, UAB”s Leadership Cabinet and on the boards of UAB Health System, Health Services Foundation, Boy Scouts and Salvation Army. In addition, Richey was past chair of Leadership Alabama, Alabama Partnership for Children and the Business Council of Alabama.
