For the second time in three years, AMERICAN Flow Control has been recognized by AWWA for its advertising efforts. The “AMERICAN Landscape” ad received the Bronze Award for Best of Show Advertising in the Journal – AWWA.

In Birmingham’s ACIPCO-Finley neighborhood, a 2-inch water pipe that services the neighborhood was leaking. An upgrade was needed to improve water supply and pressure, and to fix the leak to conserve water resources and avoid damage to the road.

In late March 2016, a large sinkhole developed in Tarpon Springs, Florida, engulfing part of a nearby road and damaging two sewer lines and a water line. AMERICAN Flow Control built and delivered four valves in 36 hours for the repair.

AMERICAN Zinc is an advancement in corrosion control for iron pipe. Zinc has been used for more than 50 years to extend the life of iron pipe, and protects millions of feet of cast and ductile iron pipe in corrosive environments.

AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company Manufacturing Engineer Ken Murphy was presented with the American Foundry Society’s Service Citation at CastExpo’16. Murphy is being recognized for his work with the Foundry in a Box program.

A contractor for San Jose Water Company in San Jose, California, has taken delivery of more than 3,000 feet of zinc-coated iron pipe from AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe, making it among the nation’s first utilities to install zinc-coated pipe.
