AMERICAN Sponsors Room, Donates Items to Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge

This year AMERICAN sponsored room 212 at the American Cancer Society’s Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge, which provides cancer patients and their caregivers with free housing during treatment. Each room has two beds and its own bath, and there are shared kitchen, living, dining and laundry areas.

The Human Resources Division also collected and donated items to Hope Lodge residents and their families. These items included laundry baskets, laundry detergent, travel size toiletries, cleaning supplies and paper products.

“Hope Lodge provides a home-away-from-home and a much-needed supportive environment for those battling cancer,” said Sheila Hill, Employee Relations supervisor. “I was amazed at the service they provide and know Mr. Eagan would be proud of this opportunity we had to serve others.”
