On November 12, 2020, AMERICAN experts presented a live webinar for more than 500 water and wastewater professionals and students. The event, hosted by Water Online, discussed iron and steel pipeline resilience and why it matters when selecting pipe materials for installation.

The year was 1989. The place was Anchorage, Alaska. The project was the installation of a gravity sewer line beneath Campbell Lake while it was drained for dam repairs. While this type of project and installation is unique in itself, the pipeline’s performance during a magnitude 7.1 earthquake more than 30 years after it was installed is equally remarkable.

On October 17, 2020, ACIPCO partnered with the ACIPCO/Finley neighborhood for a food distribution event. About 80 neighbors received meals with barbeque pork and chicken, baked beans and slaw.
