Snow Receives 2018 Heart of HERO Award

AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company Wellness Manager Sheri Snow received the 2018 Heart of HERO Award from the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO) on October 5. The award is presented each year to an individual whose leadership inspires others to embrace changes in their health habits and turns ideas into actionable plans.

The Heart of HERO Award is one of the HERO Workplace Health and Well-Being Awards given annually at the HERO Forum to honor dedication and commitment to the well-being industry and to acknowledge the achievements of leaders in the field.

Snow joined AMERICAN in 2002 and has overseen the company’s innovative wellness program since 2006. Her focus continues to be on employees’ health and well-being, and the company’s connection to the community. Under her leadership, in 2014, AMERICAN was presented with the prestigious C. Everett Koop National Health Award in recognition of its WellBody health and wellness program.

Snow is a registered dietician, a certified diabetes educator and licensed dietician/nutritionist. She received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science from Auburn University and her master’s degree in health promotion/education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
