AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe Company, a subsidiary of AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, is expanding its spiral-welded steel pipe operations to Paris, Texas. The plant is expected to be operational during the first quarter of 2021.

Sarah Charlotte Blair had the idea to organize an iron pipe foundry in the South. This led to the formation of AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1905.
