Michael A. Petrus has been named assistant works manager for AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company.
Petrus joined AMERICAN in 2001 as a steel foundry engineer. He transferred to Ductile Iron Pipe in 2003 as a process control engineer before being named Steel Pipe assistant superintendent in 2009.
Petrus received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and his bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Alabama. Petrus is a member and past president of the Birmingham Chapter of the American Foundry Society and is a member of the AMERICAN Leadership Association.
Petrus and his wife Patty have three children and two grandchildren and are residents of Jemison, Ala.
