The ACIPCO Leadership Association (ALA) of American Cast Iron Pipe Company recently recognized its outstanding members of 2011-12. Brian Butler, estimator, received the New Member Award. Hunter Bridwell, project specialist, received the Golden Rule Award. Gwen Harris, secretary, received the President’s Award.

American Cast Iron Pipe Company (AMERICAN) has appointed John Bryars assistant works manager.

David M. Drake has been named technical director at AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company (AMERICAN).

At a July 26 awards luncheon sponsored by the Birmingham Business Journal, AMERICAN received first place in the Manufacturing Category as one of Birmingham’s Most Admired Companies. Winners were selected by a survey of business leaders. Second- and third-place winners in the category were Mercedes and Honda, respectively. Winners were featured in a special section of the July 27 Birmingham Business Journal.

H. Joe Thomas has been named senior project manager of engineering at AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Compay (AMERICAN).
