AMERICAN Flow Control unveiled the new ALPHA restrained joint today for use on its Series 2500 4- to 12-inch Resilient Wedge Gate Valves and its American-Darling and Waterous fire hydrants at WEFTEC 2016.

More than 6,800 cubic yards of structural concrete are being used in the construction of a new Trickling Filter and Trickling Filter Pump Station in Bismarck, North Dakota. These structures are being built well below the area’s water table, and the more than 6,800 cubic yards of concrete will protect them against the effects of Mother Nature.

Morganton, North Carolina, recently became the first city in the state to install zinc-coated ductile iron pipe. Zinc pipe, manufactured by applying a coating of zinc to the pipe’s outer surface, will be used to upgrade the utility’s system.
