Riggins, Carter Elected to Key Positions With The Literacy Council

Kylee Riggins, marketing associate with AMERICAN Steel Pipe, was elected in the fall to serve as 2021-22 vice chair of The Literacy Council’s Junior Board. And, in December, Joy Carter, Communications manager, was tapped to serve as 2022 vice chair of TLC’s Executive Board.

TLC, one of ACIPCO’s community partners, is committed to improving the lives of adults and their families through literacy education in reading, writing, math and English as a second language. Riggins and Carter will serve as chair of their respective boards in 2023. This year, Riggins will also chair the Junior Board’s signature event, Kickin’ Chicken Wing Fest. Held in the fall, the event raises thousands of dollars annually for literacy education.
