Congratulations to Abby Scott on receiving a $2,000 scholarship through the Manufacturing Standardization Society’s (MSS) McClinton/Hannafin Scholarship Fund in 2023. This is the third time Abby has been awarded an MSS scholarship. She is the daughter of Tess and Derek Scott, AFC Sales, and a rising senior at Florida State University studying biomedical engineering. Abby was also a recipient of a 2023 ACIPCO/Eagan Foundation scholarship.

The MSS McClinton/Hannafin Scholarship Program was established in 2011 and provides annual cash awards of $2,000 to dedicated engineering and material science or metallurgy students interested in the valve and fittings industry. The children of AMERICAN employees have received scholarships 14 times since the fund was established.

MSS is a nonprofit technical association for the development and improvement of codes and standards for the valves and fittings industry. AMERICAN is a member company.
