Jim Frost, director of Quality Systems and Compliance at AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company, was elected to the American Foundry Society (AFS) Executive Committee.

Every year the National Society of Black Engineers hosts SEEK to teach minority students about science, technology, engineering and math. AMERICAN joined in the effort as volunteers presented Foundry in a Box.

AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company Manufacturing Engineer Ken Murphy was presented with the American Foundry Society’s Service Citation at CastExpo’16. Murphy is being recognized for his work with the Foundry in a Box program.

Volunteers with the American Foundry Society (AFS) Birmingham Chapter present Foundry in a Box, a table-top demonstration of metal casting, to students across the Birmingham area.
