AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company was recently featured on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Workplace Health Resource Center. For the case study, representatives from the CDC visited AMERICAN, touring manufacturing areas and talking with employees. The report looks at the history of the company’s Wellness program, collaboration between Wellness and Safety, benefits of the WellBody programs, the availability of on-site physical therapy for employees, and other resources such as fitness classes and access to registered dieticians and health coaches.
