AMERICAN SpiralWeld Expands Operations to Paris, Texas

AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe Company, a subsidiary of AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, is expanding its spiral-welded steel pipe operations to Paris, Texas. The company will invest $70-$90 million in the construction of a new facility, which will house the latest in pipe manufacturing technology. The plant is expected to be operational during the first quarter of 2021.

AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe manufactures steel pipe in diameters up to 144 inches. Spiral-welded steel pipe applications include transmission, distribution and collection lines for water and wastewater; penstocks; water intakes and outfalls; and structural pilings.

At its other facilities, AMERICAN manufactures ductile iron pipe, valves and hydrants for the waterworks industry and electric-resistance-welded steel pipe for the energy industry. AMERICAN’s diversified product line also includes high performance fire pumps, structural casing and piling, castings for large machinery, and specialty rubber products.
