Congratulations to ADIP/ASWP Northeast Regional Sales Manager Anooj Kothari on his appointment as Chair of the American Water Works Association’s Manufacturers and Associates Council (MAC). He has served on MAC for six years, including the last three years as Vice Chair. As MAC Chair, Kothari will also join AWWA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

AMERICAN provided more than 54,000 feet of 42- and 48-inch ductile iron pipe, 27 resilient wedge gate valves and about 2,000 feet of 48-inch spiral-welded steel pipe for Hillsborough County’s $100 million South County Potable Water Transmission Main Project.

Buried 20 feet beneath the dense, urban streets of Phoenix, Arizona, is 66-inch spiral-welded steel pipe to ensure the city’s residents have access to clean and reliable water.

On Thursday, October 17, 2024, AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company joins more than 1,000 water and wastewater utilities, public officials, business leaders, engineers and manufacturers for the tenth consecutive year of Imagine a Day Without Water.

ACIPCO was named Manufacturer of the Year by the Birmingham Business Journal at its inaugural Manufacturing Awards on Thursday, August 15. The company competed with manufacturers from across the state for awards.

Kyle G. Couture was named Marketing Services Manager for AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe (ADIP)/AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe (ASWP) effective June 1, 2024.

When the Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority engaged Ruby-Collins, Inc. to expand and upgrade its water and sewer system, Ruby-Collins President and CEO Scott Cline knew the job would be challenging – beginning with the project’s scale. A key feature in the upgrade was the installation of a 48-inch spiral-welded steel pipe water main that was coated in polyurethane and five miles long.

Approximately 2,200 feet of 60-inch AMERICAN Steel Pipe was installed near Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, in the spring, summer and fall of 2023. At the same time, numerous events were held at the stadium including the Indy Music City Grand Prix and Taylor Swift Eras Tours concerts.
