Two Children of AMERICAN Employees Awarded MSS Scholarships in 2020

Ethan Kinnaird and Isabela Restrepo each received a $2,000 scholarship through the Manufacturing Standardization Society’s (MSS) Tom Hannafin Scholarship Fund in 2020. Ethan is the son of Kenneth Kinnaird, PM-Construction, and Isabela is the daughter of Gabe Restrepo, International Sales.

Ethan is a senior at Auburn University studying systems and industrial engineering. This is the third year Ethan has received a MSS scholarship. He was also a 2020 ACIPCO/Eagan Foundation scholarship recipient and is currently working at ACIPCO as a Quality Assurance intern.

Isabela is a senior at Auburn University studying systems and industrial engineering. This is the second time she has been awarded a MSS scholarship. In the fall, Isabela will begin her third rotation as a co-op for Westrock Corporation.

The MSS/Tom Hannafin Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 after the sudden death of Tom Hannafin, MSS president. Since its inception, the children of AMERICAN employees have received scholarships 10 times.

MSS is a nonprofit technical association for the development and improvement of codes and standards for the valves and fittings industry. AMERICAN is a member company.
